Tough weekend

Yadi Molina takes a foul tip to the groin and has to undergo emergency surgery for a traumatic hematoma. He'll miss at least a month. I can't even imagine how much that must hurt.

Jacob deGrom goes on the 10-day DL because of a hyperextended elbow.

And today Clayton Kershaw goes on the 10-day DL with left biceps tendinitis.

And now the Twins have put Jason Castro on the DL with a meniscus tear in his knee.

“Hey, I know he’s not the best receiving catcher in the world, but a) he’s a living, breathing human you can put behind the plate and b) think about the cross-promotional lumberjack marketing opportunities. And Vikings? We haven’t gone down that road yet in Houston for obvious reasons, but I really think he could pull it off.”
