White Sox find only futility in the Land of Ver.

Justin perfect through two with two Ks.

0-0 after two innings.

I can sense Verlander's awesomeness even through the MLB Gameday little pitch graphics.

The 9 hole has not gotten a hit in 40ish ABs.

With a better two strike pitch to Chirinos (sp?), he would have no hit the Rangers last time out.

Tim Anderson kept yelling “who gives a fuck?” after screwing up and getting picked off. Kalas thought he was yelling at Verlander. Anyone know what the hell that was about?

And yes, Diaz’ strike zone is minuscule.

Maybe. Looked like he was mouthing off so much, even the 2B ump told him to quiet down.

Yeah, Fisher spanked that one.

I have no idea what Anderson's deal was at second base. He's a fuck-up who's lucky he wasn't tagged out.

Diaz's strike zone isn't so much miniscule as it is completely inconsistent and unpredictable.

I don't think anybody's going overboard, just giving him credit when he does something good. He'll need to put together a pretty long stretch of good results to convince folks that he's for real.

And he's successful.

Astros win 10-0.

I missed it, who was the answer to the trivia question?

Carlos heating up and Fulmer doesn't seem like he's developed much at all since his Vandy days.

Giles 1-2-3 after long period between appearances.

Hit 99 on first batter.

So they don't really know why Danny collapsed but he was conscious when they took him out of the dugout.   They're running tests and they'll know tomorrow..

Put Fisher in one of the escape pods.

Here's the low down on the Verlander/Anderson back and forth:

http://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/after-astros-cruised-past-white-sox-justin-verlander-wasnt-all-happy-tim-anderson
Doesn't sound like any of the vets on his own team said anything to him about getting picked off trying to steal 3rd, down 5-0 with a laboring pitcher on the mound. Anderson sounds like a dumbass.

Not to the point where you'd blow him out the airlock?
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Is this similar to what Dauer had - at least in effect, if not cause?

I do not think so but certainly am no doctor. I’ll ask Google.

News account says Dauer had a subdural hematoma caused by a fall and striking his head the night before the parade. An aneurysm is a blood vessel or artery rupturing. Both resulted in bleeding in/on the brain.

Both are types of intracranial hemorrhage with distinct risk factors/susceptible populations/manifestations/treatments.

Of the two,  ruptured aneurysms are more dangerous. But as the Dauer example illustrates,  subdurals can be life threatening too.

Yeah, thanks for the update.   Glad the prognosis is good even if it will be a long year for him...
