Apparently the radio crew doesn't realize they play Sinatra when the YANKEES WIN.

Their Love Street is/was good too. Since they're now Budweiser, a lot of people have stopped drinking it.

If there is a quintessential Keuchel AB, that Gregorius AB was it: weak swings at nothing closely resembling a strike.

I am too. My nickname for him alternated between "Big Bear" and "Gentle Bear."

Now that he's no longer an Astro, I call him "Chris Carter," and try to stifle my sobs.

Come on Yuli.  Make up for that error.

I bet they score that an out.

Might have been. Strike two was the pitch he could have hammered. He just watched it all the way into the glove. The only thing separating him from Moberg was Yuli's impassive face versus a knowing nod.

Knowing nod then sweeping the dirt with his front foot as he resets to take another strike.

Bless Moberg's heart.

Here's hoping you're taking a tramp steamer the shortcut to Perth, then working your way home the long way.  Or at least starting something better.

Where?  I'll come get a cup of coffee.

Which reminds me, there is a great need in this country for a decent cup of coffee in heavy ceramic diner mugs that get refilled.  Just saying.

My dad ran a truck stop, long ago and far away in West Texas.  He had these great mugs, Buffalo china, army surplus, tiny.  I still have two, and I drink my morning coffee from them every day.  They are about three times the size of espresso.  Perfect, as long as they get refilled.

That truck stop had a great juke box.

I offer no specifics at all, but I think we had a double play F8-2 to end a game in the last couple years.

Also, tip of the cap to Hinch for the defensive replacement in the OF from Aoki to Marisnick. He does this quite a bit and tonight it payed off. Aoki may or may not have made that play, but Jake is definitely the better defender.

Not only that,  but knowing the large LF in Yankee stadium, he left Jake in left rather than center.

Correa and Jake did that. Had to send Ellsbury. He had a 30' lead and ran on contact.

Just saw the replay.  What slop pitch did Giles throw?  Same pitch twice in a row.  86mph and no movement.  Terrible hanging slider?

Just saw the replay.  What slop pitch did Giles throw?  Same pitch twice in a row.  86mph and no movement.  Terrible hanging slider?

Slider with no bite. He had great stuff last night, but he hung that one.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
