Astros have bases full with one out for Gattis...
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

T1:

Reddick doubles to LCF
Aoki with an infield single off of Kluber's glove, Reddick to 3B
Correa strikes out swinging on three pitches
McCann walks on four pitches, Aoki to 2B
Gattis takes a meatball for strike one, takes a meatball for strike two, whiffs at a curveball at his ankles
Gurriel...3-0...takes a meatball for strike one, whiffs at ball four at his ankles, helmet falls off, flies out at the top of the wall in RCF

Horrible

No score.

I can understand taking the first slider on the inside half, but then when he throws it again right in the middle of the damn plate....

T5:

McCann taps back to the mound
Gattis flies out to shallow LF on the first pitch
Gurriel strikes out swinging

3-1 Astros
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Gomes doubles, Santana grounds out to move him to third, and that's it for Fiers.

Devo in to save the day.

Impossible. It's a simple game:throw the ball, hit the ball, catch the ball. If I can see in my mind's eye what's supposed to happen, why can't they simply make it happen? I demand satisfaction!

Only one quarterback. He went second. The Bears swapped spots with the 49ers and gave up a third, a fourth, a sixth, another third for a guy who sat for two years behind someone you've never heard of and has a total of 13 starts.

So, as I was saying, quarterbacks have become extremely expensive.

In addition to the fact that they just gave Mike Glennon $19M.

Bummer pair of losses. Both were winnable but for one or two plays.

Fuck.  Two VERY winnable games get away.

Hinch has GOT to get Correa out of the heart of the order

Lots of little things there. Altuve gets thrown out. Beltran doesn't go for second, meaning Reddick can't try for home. Correa shits the bed. McCann swings at one above his eyes.

Here's what's got me worried: the offense is slowing down, and the Rangers offense is heating up and those shits are coming to town. A week ago I was really looking forward to that. Now I'm a lot more worried.

Let's try getting Springer and Altuve back in the lineup.

I'm OK with Altuve getting thrown out.  You're trying to get into scoring position, and you've got a great base stealer on first base.  You can't count on multiple hits.  You're on the road, trying to manufacture a run.  It was the perfect pitch to thrown on.  Shit happens.

What the fuck Beltran was doing on 1B is a movie mystery of the week.

And Correa...this game was his season so far wrapped up in a handful of at bats.

All he did was win a national championship with fucking Clemson. He clearly can't measure up to Brock Osweiler or Tom Savage.

Interesting. I'm not sure his game translates to the pros, but maybe it does. Everybody who's ever been around him swears by his character and leadership. And having those other guys picked in front of him will probably give him extra motivation. It's possible he's another Russell Wilson. And it's possible he doesn't pan out at all.

They don't exactly like each other, the schools.  That would be like Red McCombs's Vikings falling in love with Johnny Manziel just because he's from Texas.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

That's terrible logic, and you know it.  Just because Brock Osweiler was hammered dog shit doesn't mean Watson will necessarily be good.

Run out and buy your Watson jersey tomorrow. This is a totally inept and incompetent organization. Watson would have been a reach at 25. Paying the Browns to take a quarterback that sucked was bad enough. Little did I know it would get worse.

Seriously, do you really believe that success of a college team is predictive of NFL success for an individual quarterback?

I think turning around an otherwise shit team predicts pretty highly. (See: Newton, Cam)

He may be but you sure as fuck don't know it. He's injury prone, sure. But we may never know if he's any good or not, in no small part because the one season he might have seen significant snaps your hero Rick Smith IR'd him because of a hangnail.

Cam Newton: Rifle Arm
DeShaun Watson: Shit Arm

This is the NFL we're talking about. The corners at Wake Forest are probably not going to be playing on Sundays.

Spin the winner bit all you want, that shit does not translate into the NFL at quarterback.

Yes they did.  That doesn't mean that Watson is that guy.  Not being Brock Osweiler ain't exactly a feather in your QB cap.  Watson may be the guy, he may not.  I personally am not a fan.

11 hits and 4 walks...that's 15 baserunners to score 3 runs.  Take away Marwin's HR and the Astros needed 7 base runners to push one across the plate.
