« on: August 11, 2016, 04:56:19 pm »
The Astros released plans (again) today for their centerfield renovation.

Here's a 2016 vs. 2017 comparison.

Just more AIS. I don't like it.

It looks like more of a party area but not really that many more seats.

Premium seating comes with a bigger pricetag.

Isn't it amazing that they can figure out a way to make OF seating premium.

I already stated how I like the hill, but if they raze it, they need to find a significant way to recognize the man's contributions to the history of the franchise.  If there are any petty issues preventing that, adults need to put them aside.

A 12 year old with Photoshop could do better.

Ugly with a capital ugg. It's a bad omen that the Ver.2017 pic has the Rangers leading the Astros 5-0 on the scoreboard.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

Might as well sell an ad on it if they are doing this for monetary reasons. And it won't look any worse..

The new design is ugly and stupid, meaning it fits right in with the entire aesthetic of the park.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't expect them to brand the shit out of this.

Also, field level seats 409 feet away isn't exactly "premium".

Shitty design, shitty decision.  Reid/Crane botched this one.
