I threw mine away when I got out of the army. I have grandkids now, but my own kids have never seen my chin.

I shaved yesterday after a couple weeks' layoff and damn it felt good. Of course, it's the shaving every single day part that's a drag.

I have not shaved with a razor since 2006 and only periodically use my electric shaver.  Then again, I can go a week before anyone notices.

The only thing worse than shaving, is not shaving.

I can't really grow a beard that doesn't look like shit, but whenever I've taken a few weeks off shaving the itchiness is just really annoying. I feel like people with beards claim it goes away eventually, but I wonder if that's the same concept as a "Runner's High" aka BS people come up with to justify their self torture.

Couple of years ago I got the beard shaved off for the first time since '04.  Looked in the mirror when he was done and said "who the hell is that guy?".  It felt good, but I haven't shaved it off since.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

You know, on a semi-on topic note, some cosmetologist are telling women to shave their faces.  I'm sorry, but I can't imagine doing that.  To me the hair would grow back as whiskers (such as men's facial hair).  If I had to do that, I'd have laser removal done.  I'd also recommend shelling out the money for women to do that.  Best money I've ever spent, and thankfully I did not have to do my face.  But, I did have a college roommate do that many moons ago.  I doubt she regrets it.

I shaved a two-year old beard off this Spring. Did a double-take every time I walked by a mirror.

When I was 9, I had this crappy step father that shaved his beard off after being married to my mom for a few years.  When he walked into the kitchen to show his handiwork, after focusing a bit on what I was seeing, I announced that he "looked like a pedophile". Which was funny because every male in his family was.

It's not really important, I suppose. But at least 9 out of 10 people I know with beards would look ten years younger or more, if they just shaved it off.

I don't grow a beard because I cannot stand having it on my face; but if there was something as easy to do as shaving that would automatically take a decade off of my looks, I would have to think about it.

I have a Van Dyke style beard (goatee/mustache combo) and still shave my face everyday. I'm such an idiot.
