An interesting detail from the article is that it was the Astros' analytics department that alerted the area scout about the player, not the other way around.

I got to talk to him some at a meet and greet before the season.  He was thrilled to be in pro ball.  Neat guy.  Great story. 

Stories like his are why I love minor league baseball.

Whoa, that's weird. All 5 ER he gave up in his 30 2/3 IP were from solo homers.
