I'll take the panthers. The defenses are pretty even, Cam makes the difference. I'll say it ends up 24-17.
I also want the panthers to win, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them.

He did make the difference by not diving for the football on the fumble.

Simms was ripping him a new one for that, but it looked to me like Newton thought it was an incomplete pass instead of a fumble.

Looked to me like none of the Panthers had any interest in even being at the game. They all looked like they couldn't care less what happened.

It is easy to make criticism of  a player's actions when you watch the play in slow motion.  We don't know what was in his mind when he didn't jump on the ball.  We also may never know because he pouted in the post game interview.  The interview was crap but his body language and keeping the hoodie over his head made it much worse.   

But here was the challenge in the interview:
If his rips his offensive line.  He is a bad teammate. 
If he rips the refs for some questionable calls, he gets fined and is a bad loser.
If he rips the press for asking horrible questions:  "Can you put into words your disappointment? "

He said the right things about being outplayed.  He included inaccurate passes in the list of things that could have been done better.  If he has better body language and leaves the stage with a better exit than "I done here".  He wouldn't be catching as much crap.  Hopefully he learns from this.

He was a complete schmuck in the interview. It's possible to be gracious in defeat and not rip your teammates or the officials.  I'm far from a Peyton Manning fan, but contrast his post-game interview two years ago with Newton's last night.  Read Richard Sherman's comments about how Manning came up to him after that game and expressed concern for Sherman's injury.  When you're the star player, particularly one who beats his chest and tells the world how great he is as often and as loudly as Newton does, you should man up in defeat.  He was lobbed softball questions and he acted like a petulant child.  There's no way to positively spin his behavior.
