It is easy to make criticism of a player's actions when you watch the play in slow motion. We don't know what was in his mind when he didn't jump on the ball. We also may never know because he pouted in the post game interview. The interview was crap but his body language and keeping the hoodie over his head made it much worse.
But here was the challenge in the interview:
If his rips his offensive line. He is a bad teammate.
If he rips the refs for some questionable calls, he gets fined and is a bad loser.
If he rips the press for asking horrible questions: "Can you put into words your disappointment? "
He said the right things about being outplayed. He included inaccurate passes in the list of things that could have been done better. If he has better body language and leaves the stage with a better exit than "I done here". He wouldn't be catching as much crap. Hopefully he learns from this.
It was a match up of two good defenses. The difference is one defense created points and one didn't. Neither offense did much.
