ESPN's reporting it's a sore left hamstring.

Due to Carter's poor throws?

Due to Carter's poor throws?

Possibly. If so, that really pisses me off because that out that Carter had to get instead of taking the easy unassisted putout up 9-0 has exacted a heavy cost.

Springer will be in the lineup tomorrow batting 1st and playing right field (albiet at Whataburger Field in Corpus rather than Target Field in Minneapolis, but still...).

Any of us that saw that play then saw Mr. Correa grab the back of his leg know it was because of that throw. I hope it is more of a resting situation.  The fact that ESPN is reporting the injury shows just how special he is.

Good news about Springer though.

Between Gomez submarining him in short center and Carter hanging him out to dry at 2nd base, Correa probably has to be wondering why his teammates dislike him so much.

I hope that haircut isn't Marisnick's Samson and Delilah moment.

I don't (usually) mind getting thrown out trying to steal, or being aggressive going 1st to 3rd. But there have been some really bad ones this year, and Altuve just standing there while the throw comes over was pretty bad.

Fuck, a homer for the Twinkies.

Three runs on two hits. Ugh.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Their second baseman is pretty good. An AL top five. As of right now I'd go Altuve, Kipnis, Cano, Kinsler, and Dozier.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it

Point of order:  that ball was deep in the hole, fielded by the SS. It was a hit.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I think this team is proving it's really not that hard.

The situational hitting by this team is really, really awful. I'm hopeful that in the years to come we'll replace some of the worst culprits with some younger guys who aren't such boom-or-bust types. in the meantime I guess we've just got to accept this team for what it is. Some nights they're going to be world-beaters, and some nights they're going to be total zeroes.

Instead of 1 cup grated cheddar, can I substitute another 4 or 5 slices of American cheese? Also why is the A in American cheese capitalized and not the c in cheddar cheese?

I think cheddar is only the nickname for Sweden.

The part of SE Minnesota that is the birthplace of SPAM is also the home of most of my father's side of the family. I was born nearby. We ate a lot of SPAM when I was a boy.

I don't think I've written a recap that was followed by more discussion.

Except for Gattis it's shitty of the other guys on the team that batted in front of Gomez to not be on base and just waste his awesome two out single.

As explained a few posts later, that was sarcasm. Once again, I'm pulling for Gomez and everyone else on the team. And even as I think he is an attention seeking show-boater, he's growing on me, because I see he is a good teammate,

Son, this is the Game Zone, and it's life or death.  We got no room for sarcasm in the Game Zone.

That was valiant of Marisnick to go back to the fence, but that thing bonked off the upper deck facade.
