Which was worse... Mays with the Mets, or 2015 Tiger?

Not sure, but I'd say that Jack's record of 18 majors is safe for a while.

That course looks like someone took the Moon, and painted parts of it green.

Woods dragged Fowler (81) and Oosthuizen (77) down with him.

Hands down, Mays with the steM. I saw him fall down once between 2B and 3B that year.

What's tough is that they were a featured group on national TV last night.  Completely embarrassing.  The line of the night was in reviewing Wood's topping of his second shot on 18 (which rolled into the bunker) - "Here's a shot we've all experienced before."  Tiger just seems very human now - not the superhuman we held on a pedestal just a few short years ago.
The test of a true champion is how he reacts to adversity on days when it is bound to come.

Fifteen year old Houstonian Cole Hammer shot a 77.  Third youngest player to qualify for the US Open.

I hope he's soaking it all up and having fun.

He tees off again at 5:12pm CDT.  He's a River Oaks kid, btw.

+3 thru 14 today.

Last time he bombed out like this, he celebrated by boning a hooker and got dumped by his girlfriend.

Karma's a bitch.

Trying very hard to think of a worse golf commentator than Joe Buck. Not succeeding.

Just awful coverage of a ridiculous tournament. The USGA and Fox deserve each other

I don't know if the tournament is ridiculous, but Fox certainly is. Buck is the most obvious fuck-up, but he's not the only one.

The USGA goes out of its way to create an amusement park of its courses and this particular one is the worst of the bunch. I personally don't find it enjoyable to watch.

What they are missing is the windmill on the putting green that you have to hit between the rotating blades.

Wow. Johnson three puts on 18 to lose the U.S Open. Historic dick stepping.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Unreal.  I was hoping for 18 more today.  The course was rough but there was plenty of drama Sunday.  Spieth tired to give it away, Johnson did.

Buck just grates on me, because I don't like drowning in smug on my own couch.

Norman's constant regurgitation of what he'd read on Web MD about Jason Day's affliction, was probably the low point, however.  Just beating out (pun intended) Fox' signature graphics bukkake.

Don't forget the gratuitous cheesecacke post-round interviewer who could hardly be bothered to wait for the interviewee's answer to one question before moving on to her next scripted question.

Personally, I think golf needs *more* gratuitous cheesecake.

I don't watch golf, but if I might if I knew there was gratuitous cheesecake.

And women's golf isn't really any fun to watch, either, because they're all ... NTTAWWT.

Along those lines,, the Norwegian Women's National Soccer Team dishes the truth on women's soccer.
