I like a lot of things about Valbuena. However, I do not at ALL like his approach at the plate with runners on. Oh, fast guy on in front of me that steals a lot of bases? I think I'll swing at a questionable pitch and ground in to ANOTHER easy double play.

I wondered at the time why Luhnow didn't go all out to trade Carter over the offseason. It should have been obvious that his second half pace was unsustainable and it would have been a classic case of selling high. And every day that passes I wonder more.
