This guy has real good movement on his pitches; so good, they often end out of the zone. This plays well against some of the hackers in our lineup.

Posey reaches on an error by Valbuena, Panik to 3B, Pagan to 2B.  Bases loaded 1 out
Belt strikes out swinging
Maxwell hits a ball in the hole to SS, Marwin throws to 2B, Altuve can't handle it, it goes into RF, Panik scores, Pagan scores, Posey to 2B.  I suppose that'll be an infield hit and RBI, with a TE6 scoring Pagan.

That'll do it for McHugh.  Kevin Chapman in

The scoring on the Maxwell play was a FC and RBI, and an error on Altuve.  Why I don't know. 

Crawford with a ground rule double, Posey scores, Maxwell has to stop at 3B, which is good because he otherwise scores easily
Duffy singles to RF, Maxwell scores.  And the route is on.

I see that after cutting Swearinger today the Texans are down to only four players remaining of their nine picks from 2013. That's some impressive talent assessment.

More impressive is that 2/3rds of the 2013 draft never played a down, which is hard to do without an organizational conspiracy hellbent on futility.

I like to muse on the fact that the Texans' first expansion pick never played a down (thus creating an endpoint on the Boselli-Aiken Axis) and their third round pick in the regular draft, again, this team that is drafting does not have any incumbent players, the third round guy can't even make the team.

The current GM is bravely carrying forward this proud tradition.

Wade had complete and final say on all defensive picks and personnel during his tenure here. McNair is to thank for that. Him and his buddy Herring banged the table to draft Montgomery among others. Watt was the only pick he got right and it was an absolute homerun. But even in that draft his top target was Aldon Smith.

Yep, I think, Houston is blessed with some real forward thinking GMs. And Rick Smith.

Rick Smith is a figurehead and he always has been. Kubiak was the one who brought him in here. Kubiak had final say on all draft picks until Wade got here and took over the defensive side. Then you had three guys who weren't on the same page once you got to that 2013 draft. At least they somehow picked Hopkins rather than Hunter or Cordarrelle Patterson that year. I'm not sure how the power structure works now. I just know that O'Brien has final say over the 53-man roster. And he had his assistants a lot more involved in the draft process this year. He'll have total control in the near future if he doesn't already.
