Marwin is too slow for leadoff. He might be too slow for 2.
Appreciate the PHP Nate. I'm listening to Ford and Sparks.
Gattis grounds out to second and Cano finds Springer halfway between 2nd and 3rd and gets him.FC Gattis on First. 1 out.
That wasn't Cano, that was Morrison the first baseman. The shift was on.
I was at a game once with my mom. We were in the Club Level for some reason. There was a whole row of fat fuckers right in front of us who decided that the best time to pop up and get some snacks was just when the first pitch of any given half inning was about to be made. I got into it with this one bitch who, to her credit, started her future snack runs as the third out was being made. On her first such snack run she turned around and sarcastically asked me if this was OK with me. I assured her it was. I then told my mom that she was going to come back with a plastic hat full of ice cream topped with colorful sprinkles. My mom scoffed. But guess what?
Seth Smith smacks the first pitch to the wall in deep center just out of the reach of Marisnick.Astros boot the ball around the infield and Smith is granted homeAstros lead 6-2.
Rasmus wants to start a cattle farm. Someone should tell him we call those ranches in Texas.
Don't know if the call stands, but that's one beautiful throw by Castro.
Hernandez' line on the day93 pitches, 8 hits, 3 runs, 3 Earned runs, 2 walks and 1 strikeout. He's in line for the win..
Someone tell me why Villar is at 3B? That was ugly.No win for Hernandez.
There's the Villar we all fear.
He's responsible for both unearned runs.
Villar's offense is not valuable enough to make up for his errors.
But who else will you turn to when you need a pinch-runner to get picked off?
I hate to second guess Hinch, but I started screaming at my phone (on which I'm listening to the game) when he let fucking Carmonadez back out there in the seventh. He should have called it a day at six frames. I just don't like him. He's lacking swing-and-miss stuff.
Ballgame! Sweep Wow, who are these guys?
You are fucking crazy. I agree with you about 6 innings, but you want "swing and miss stuff" from a #5 starter. Hernandez was great today.
We all know that I'm fucking nuts. I don't necessarily think that you can get swing-and-miss stuff from a five; that'd be a lot to ask from such a pitcher. I just don't care for Hernandez, but he's our best option right now.
Now up 7 games on the division. Not to mention they are 1.5 games up on the Tigers with the best record in baseball
Fausto seems to be the # 4 starter with Deduno filling the # 5 role. Surely it's time for Shirley to get a star.
No. The first one was a bad relay. He was upset by the slide and it ticked off his glove. No way to blame him for that.
Sure looked like pretty good throw to me, one that he has stop. I'll look at the replay again.
Pitching matchups against the Rangers look like if you are wondering:Detwiler vs. KeuchelW. Rodriguez vs. FeldmanLewis vs. Deduno
Cards are 18-6.
He was scrambling to hop over the top of the runner, and the throw glanced off the tip of his glove (which prevented Fausto from knocking it down and keeping it out of the dugout). You can argue that maybe he should have been on the inside of the runner, but given where he was and where the throw went, I don't think he had a very good chance at stopping it.
no, you cannot argue that. if he was inside, the runner's slide would have crossed the line of the relay throw,Marwin got the error.
