It's been a long time since I've seen a hitter as lost as Gattis is right now (ignoring Carter, of course).

Not sure if he's even confident of which end of the bat to use

Hitting it oppo works. Swinging out of your shoes doesn't.

Someone needs to explain to Springer that you don't have to swing with every ounce of force you can muster every single time. Also would probably help if someone told him you're allowed to watch the ball all the way to the bat.

A bad second inning, mostly pitch count wise cuts mchughs night short. Pitched great though, minus the 2nd inning of course.

Ashby, shut the fuck up.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Butler, sit your fat ass down. EVERY SINGLE CALL he doesn't like turns in to a Tim Duncan incredulous-look-off.

he's a big boy.  I didn't realize he was that big until he got on first last night.  he made chris carter look lady-like.

Astros have won each game started by Keuchel and McHugh this year and lost each game they did not start. Doesn't mean much since some of the losses were well-pitched games but it says something about how good these guys have been early.

Sphinx counts it down for you.

Thanks Sphinx.  If you double 42 you get 84, which is an altogether better game, and in Japanese sounds like "there are leftover ribs in the frig."
