Astros win 4-3! See the game tomorrow at 8:00 AM (CT) on MLB Network.

James Hoyt struck out 2 in 1 inning today (he did walk 2 though) after having struck out 4 in 1.1 IP in his last outing.

Just upgrading from Dominguez to Valbuena might put the Astros over .500.

I was listening to the Blue Jays game and they were discussing whether Kyle Drabek might get claimed by Houston if he doesn't make the club.  They thought it would be a good move for him and possibly the Astros, while it wouldn't hurt Toronto too much because of their depth.  Anyone been following Drabek and think a guy with two Tommy Johns might be worth a look?

Thanks for the heads-up on the broadcast time.

That Valbuena must be the best player in ML history for a WAR of about 11.

You made me look it up.  The difference last year would have been 4.9.

Well there is also the entire lineup factor.  By replacing one horrendous bat with a feared bat, the other bats around it get better.  This was the theory being batted around when they added Kent.  I agree with the theory partially.

Yeah, 2014 Dominguez was definitely below the theoretical (mythical?) "replacement" level, so Valbuena's WAR would not have to be 11, just his WAD.
