Nice to see that glove flip backfire for a change.

Almost a hour and a half in and just in the top of the fourth.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it

Yu Darvish pitching to the Astros in the bottom of the fifth.

Jason Castro (who at the proper angle and in the proper light, looks a bit like Steve Carrell) worked the count full, then drove a breaking ball up the middle for a single.
Chris Carter drives a grounder though to left field for a single to put men at first and second.
Marc Krauss (Oh fer in his first two at bats) and his .191 average took four balls to load the bases. Darvish at 106 pitches.
Jon Singleton ball, foul, foul, ball, foul, hits a double down the right field line, scores Castro and Carter, men 2nd and 3rd. no outs.
Matt Dominguez hits a single and score Krauss, runners on the corners.

Pitching change.

Astros 5 Rangers 0

Juvenile is pretty normal here as far as I can tell.

So neither of the team's two major league players is playing today yet the Astros are kicking the Rangers' ass? I think I like that.

I think Singleton is a major leaguer. It's possible that Grossman is, and Carter. Feldman seems to be. So I don't think the situation is quite as dire as it was a year ago.

But it's still nice to be kicking the Rangers' ass.

Did the Astros just take the silver boot?
