This is their chance to shine. Let's hope they pound Scheppers and his 9.00 ERA.  On the other hand, here are the BAs heading into tonight:

Dexter Fowler  .320
Alex Presley  .161
Jason Castro  .156
Jose Altuve  .268
Chris Carter  .143
Carlos Corporan  .167
Matt Dominguez  .171
Robbie Grossman  .081
Jonathan Villar  .200

That's pretty slim pickings.

I think that the key hitters tonight are Castro and Grossman. They're my picks to click, but I'm praying that they aren't picks to lick my dick.

If I was pitching behind it, it would unnerve me. You have to learn to pitch to good contact, which sucks.

Dominguez forgets what to do on the bunt.  Nice.  Runners on the corner, no outs.

I'm watching CSN and suffering through Ashby. 2-0 Top 3

Tanner Cy Young Scheppers has held the Good Guys hitless through thre frames. The Astros are 2-47 in the last 49 ABs. That's brutal.

Villar has a strange-looking swing... is he pulling off on the ball a lot, or what? I can't quite figure it out, but he seems really vulnerable to pitches away.

Cosart gets squat to show for a fantastic outing, thanks to the deadbeat bullpen.

Castro with a 1-out double...right fielder misplays it.  Castro to 3B.

Altuve (why on earth do you pitch to him with Carter coming up?) with a sac fly for the lead!

Altuve, at least, understands the importance of putting the ball in play with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

So for his 7 fabulous innings, Cosart gets dick, and Chapman picks up a win for his brutal inning.  This game is so unfair.

He pitched his ass off against a tough lineup tonight.  Chapman should be thanking Villar that Cosart isn't beating the shit out of him right now.

Great win. I'm trying to remember a defensive play by an Astro that was as spectacular and clutch. A thing of beauty.

How about a double play involving Bruntlett and Everett?

Or a second inning of Albers. Inexplicable.

That is what I would have done. But it's not conventional baseball wisdom. Albers was getting better as he went. I would have trusted him with the ninth.

Do you ever get tired of living with yourself? Chapman is struggling this year and I and probably everyone else on this board wondered WTF when he came out for the 9th. But last year the guy had an ERA of 1.77 in MLB with a WHIP of 1.28. To say he doesn't belong in organized baseball is tremendously stupid. Even for you.

I think that the key hitters tonight are Castro and Grossman. They're my picks to click, but I'm praying that they aren't picks to lick my dick.

Not bad. Well, the first part that is.

Chapman got incredibly lucky.  In 71 professional innings last year he walked 49.  I would expect Cosart to repeat that 1.95 ERA before Chapman repeats his.  He has a place, but it should be in the last seat in the RedHawks bullpen.

You're an idiot. If you must, direct your venom toward the person who ran him out there in the ninth. I didn't agree with Porter that he was the right guy in that situation.

The only things that I can come up in the infield with are a couple of plays that Ozzie Smith made at SS, as well as a few that Brooks Robinson made at 3B. However, this Andrelton Simmons has made some real eye opening plays at SS too, as well as has Manny Machado at 3B.
