Thanks for the nice words, folks. Like I told Ebby, I had to compose it between sprints to the bathroom last night while I prepared for everybody's favorite activity, a colonoscopy. At the risk of sounding like a PSA, I encourage everybody to start getting these checks when you get to the appropriate age. It's a lot better to go through a couple days of aggravation every few years and find out that everything's ok or catch something early while it's not a big deal than it is to keep putting things off and then discover that you've got a serious problem, which has happened to a couple people I know.

Besides, I figured that following Dark Star would mean that any effort I made would shine about as bright as a star in the mid-day sun.

Also, fuck the Rangers. Two or three times.

It really is the day before that is the worst of that colonoscopy ordeal. I've heard that they have changed the stuff so that you don't have to get down near as much volume as previously. Is that true?

The stuff I used yesterday was called MoviPrep, and I had to drink four 8-oz glasses (one every 15 minutes) starting at 4:30pm, and then four more 8-oz glasses (one every 15 minutes) starting about 7:00pm. It wasn't nearly as bad as a few years ago when I had to drink a gallon of whatever it was. The worst part was watching everybody else eat real food for the 24 hours prior. But I really enjoyed the Rudy's breakfast tacos on the way home.

Yeah, the day before is the worst part. I had my second colonoscopy last summer and had to drink 4 liters of lime-flavored ballsweat. No food for 24 hours is awful. Luckily there's a Sonic near the doctor's office, and I invaded them as soon as the doctor released me.

BTW, nice job on the preview.

You guys really know how to fuck up a Series Preview thread.

I mean that in a good way.
