Ugh.  Solarte would have been out by 30 feet at the plate.

Kraus didn't even look behind him.

That should be Castro's call.  Throw was perfect, Kraus was in perfect position, Jeter did exactly what he's supposed to do there...not sure what happened, if Castro ordered the cut or Kraus just cut it on his own.  The latter should not happen.

OK, Dominguez was in deep LF, and Kraus makes Matt Schaub look like Carl Lewis, so I guess Corporan has to get that ball.

So that's AT LEAST 2 gift runs from Astros mental mistakes tonight.

Probably depends on the gun.  He just threw some high cheese by Beltran, so it's got a little something on it.

Does Carter have it in his contract that he *must* swing at every pitch that bounces in the opposite batter's box?

He looks totally lost right now. Taking everything that's right down the middle, and swinging only at the really awful ones.

He's always looked lost.  Every once in a while the pitcher will make a mistake and hit the bat with the ball and it will go a long way.  But Carter ain't exactly "hitterish".

I think they've lost the count and need to confirm.

The count was confirmed as 3-1 and three minutes of my life were lost forever.

It's unlikely Peacock would have thrown a pitch in that 3 minutes, so you're probably square.

Peakcock is a human rain delay.
So THAT'S why they put him in the 'pen instead of the rotation. This is, after all, meant to be entertaining.

The 0-3 Angels, who were outscored 26-8 by the Mariners in that series.

So hopefully they'll be feeling some extra pressure to beat the "easy team".

Thanks to all who have filled in for me while I'm out of Internet zone here at my parents' home. I will be back on track Sunday.
