Of course, I'm sure this has been dissected, but most teams get a dozen or so games televised live.  The Astros get three.  One was yesterday.  Better tune in while you can, because it may be the last chance you get to see them this year.

Springer, Correa, Snglton and DDS are drawing starting assignments today. Scherzer with the start for Det. He's pretty good. Harrell with a decent three innings.

You can also go to the MMPUS.  I bet most games there will be plenty of seats.

Scherzer with the start for Det. He's pretty good.

He's also getting calls that even calls that'd make Maddux/Smoltz/Glavine proud...  That called third strike on Springer was ass...

Astros muster only three knocks in losing to Detroit 3-0. Pitchers did a fine job, striking out seven and only walking one.

You can stand in the concourse at MMPUS on watch the games on TVs, but it's hard to see the TVs from the seats.

I believe last year they abandoned trying to keep people in the correct sections and actually encouraged people to move down to the front to make the stadium look busier on TV.  Buy a $5 nose bleeder and sit where you want!

Since you brought it up...one game last year, not only did they not let me move down to the lower sections, they didn't let me move down to the lower rows in the nose bleeds.  I'm the only person in the upper section...the ONLY one, and my ticket is for like Row 9.  I want to simply move down to Row 1 of the same section, but since there are like 14 ticket attendents for every fan..."excuse me sir, may I see your ticket....you'll have to move back to your seat back there."  Are you fucking kidding me?

Of course, that could have been me.

It seemed to vary by section/usher.  There would be some ushers that would insist on inspecting every ticket and refusing interlopers (looking at you section 116), but most of them didn't give a shit.  You could usually tell which sections were staffed by ushers with a stick up their ass because they were completely empty, while the others had a smattering of people.

Though I'm not saying it wasn't you, HH.

I found to sit in the lower section it works best if you start in the outfield and just work your way towards home.  The ushers don't seem to check the tickets in those sections.  At least, that was my experience.  I think the only time I sat in the upper level was Opening Day.

I don't know why they elected not to show and instead threw up some re-run studio shows including the BA Top 100 prospects. The next "scheduled" Astros game will be live on Sat. v. Yanks.

I got the "blackout explanation" on my recording.  I don't know for sure, but assume the original broadcast must have been by CSNH and further assume that if the spring training game is broadcast by CSNH, then its live version or replay will be blacked out.

That makes sense. I guess I won't go out of my way to make time for the Sat. game against the Yanks.

That really sucks. It's a crying ass shame that grown-ups can't agree to reasonable terms to get this television thing right.

Weird, MLB is telling me the Astros are on via the channel guide, but instead they are having a show about the 86 LCS?!?!

Anyone else having the same issue?

Me too. This further confirms for me that it's a better idea for us to hit up ST in Arizona this year. It's hard to be an Astros fan.
