Gang:

Some of you may have noticed that EasTexAstro hasn't been around much lately. I've been in close communication with him, and he is fine, but he is going through something that none of us should ever have to endure, and that is about all that I can say about it. Please keep EasTexAstro and his entire family in your thoughts and prayers. He and I have become very close even though we have never physically met one another. There's really not much that I wouldn't do for him. That speaks volumes to me about how much this site and many of you people mean to me personally. Hug your family tonight and love them. That's what is really important. Who the fifth starter is, comings and goings on the 40 man roster and the identity of the 25th man on the roster pale in comparison to that.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

You said more than you needed to say, and from all of us, may God bless you and your family and may He grant repose and eternal peace to your son. This is our fervent prayer.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
