Playoffs

I'm rooting for an A's vs Pirates series.  I know the A's are our bitter rivals, but the other AL teams bore me.

Here's a nice little flow chart to help you decide: http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/62260854

I think it will be Braves and Tigers. I think I will root for the Pirates and the hated A's.

The sanctimony of the Brian McCann - Chris Johnson self-appointed unwritten rule enforcing committee has rekindled a hatred of the Braves that had significantly died down since the Maddux/Glavine/Chipper days.

It's hard not to root for the Rays.  Basically I'm in the camp of anyone other than the Red Sox or Braves.

Really?  I'm not sure what the reference to Johnson is, but I liked McCann's reaction in the Gomez incident.  I was a Braves fan for a brief moment.

Chris Johnson attacks Jose Fernandez because he watched his first ever home run.

And I'm with MM on McCann.  His bullshit Gandalf act was completely over the top.

If I could give McCann a $1 billion dollar bonus for that I would. The only thing wrong was that he didn't beat the ever loving shit out of Gomez right there at the plate.

He rounded third and deliberately spit at Johnson's feet. It was far from being innocuous.

The Braves never really did anything wrong, but the fact that they are the common denominator makes me curious.

Either way, fuck them.

Pirates/Rays. Here's hoping Rays pitching can hold up to the killer line-ups in the AL.

I think the Dodgers are going to do whatever it is that cheap suits do. My suspicion is that we'll see Cards vs. Red Sox.

First step accomplished.  Way to go Pirates.  I'm happy for their fans to have a fun game where the team had a comfortable lead the whole time.  It's still stressful, but it's a lot more fun of a way to do it.  Reminds me of the last four innings of NLDS game 5 against the Braves.

TYhe fact that the two big incidents the Braves have had this year involved Gomez and Bryce Harper makes me applaud them.  Gomez should have been decked.

Me too. I will be praying and sacrificing to Jobu to get them past the Jakes. It is interesting that Clint Hurdle threw Liriano out there in the wildcard game. Burnett the tatted one goes in game one. I see that Tito Francona is gambling on Danny Salazar tonight. I'm sure that he'll be on a very short leash.

Pirates are the only NL team I can root for, Fuck LA, STL and Atlanta.  In the AL, pulling for the Rays, if they lose to the Indians will pull for the Indians.  Fuck Boston and Oakland.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Rays are my favourite AL team, when (if?) the Astros ever start playing in the AL I might have to rethink.
