Seems the rest of the team just doesn't give a shit when it comes to defense.  I feel like the Astros are going to want a ten-rule rule.

ugh, this team is bad.

I rather think they think they just can't beat the Rangers.  I really want the Astros to help the A's win the division.

Even when the Rangers were shitty, the Astros had trouble with them in interleague play.

Yeah, Harrell deserved a better fate that inning.

I haven't seen him in awhile. Even when he has his good sinker and can throw a fair amount of strikes, he could sure use a go to secondary pitch.

Real nice work by Castro and Carter.

Elmore pitching.

Elmore catching, Elmore pitching, whatever...  Even I am not that gullible...

That's pretty impressive.  Catches four innings and then throws a scoreless one.

I don't get the DH rule.  From previous games, I had assumed that if you were the DH, you couldn't substitute later as a defender.  This assumption came from listening to games when Castro and/or Corporan was DH'ing and the announcers were concerned about the catcher getting hurt.  When they used Elmore to replace Corporan, I again assumed my first assumption was correct, because otherwise, why wouldn't Castro have taken over at catcher after Corporan?  Then, Elmore went into pitch, and I wondered who caught, and saw it was Castro.  I also see that once Castro moved to catcher, no one filled the DH role.  I guess you lose the DH once the original DH moves to a defensive position.

Fucking American League rules.

My only regret in turning this off is that I love seeing position players pitch, and this game is certainly headed that way. Elmore? Barnes?

Nice call.
