K:BB ratios

Crawfish Boxes has some great analysis on the Astros MiL Pitchers walk-K ratios. They did the same last week from the hitter's perspective. THe Luhnow effect is definitely pervasive at the lower levels.

I feel stupider every time I read "analysis" or comments there.  Not even addressing the basic thesis of whether K:BB predicts any kind of success at higher levels, or whether those stats are a result of targeted talent acquisition or development and/or pitching philosophy, the statement that luhnow finds pitchers with command and hopes they attain velocity runs counter to his statements earlier this year, where he basically said that they don't draft for velocity gains.
