WTF?

I think that she's either feeling pressure from those of us who are honest and open enough to share episodes from our respective pasts or she is jacking us around and making fun of us. I can't decide which one it is. I'm leaning toward the latter.

I was being charitable, being one of those who obviously are in the cross hairs of one BG.

Have no doubt, I do not feel pressure from you all.  NONE.

she may be sick of casual drugs and even more casual sex. you must admit, there is a certain theme attempting to out debauch whoever wrote last.

I don't mind it, and enjoy most of it, but some may not be a fan. I dunno--just guessing.

Again, I was being charitable by offering an alternative theory. I don't have a sarc meter, but I definitely got the message that you were jacking us around.

I read it and very much value his opinion. I just took it that you were parodying us because you had a problem with some of what we wrote. I tell you what. I'll stick to the baseball facts next time. Actually, my first effort had drug usage but no sex in it, so I at least had that going for me! It'll be boring but, perhaps, less offensive. And if I did offend you, then I profusely apologize because that wasn't my intent.

I'll be honest, I don't like the previews that have to do with someone getting drunk/high and then having sex with a girl when she is in a similar state and have a tendency to not read them.  I love the stuff that is funny and baseball related.  Sometimes those things go together and sometimes they don't.  But the trend the previews have been going down is not one I care to read, so I don't.

The contributors are welcome, and as far as I know not censured, to write whatever they want.  I just have my opinion on what I prefer to read and decided to share it in an obvious way today.

to each his/her own, and you are exercising effective censorship for you: do not read. for the most part, I think the quality of writing here is astonishing, and I work hard to try to keep up. I will say after reading a number of previews that I must have lived the dullest life in the entire history of people.

Well, don't keep us in suspense.  Where DID the riding crop come from?

I figured it was a ballpark giveaway on El Caballo Night.

BTW, nice job, BG. That was ... um ... intriguing.

Everytime chuck mentions ceviche, I always say "I should make ceviche tonight!" and then I don't.

As far as previews go, I tend to skim for baseball content and funny stuff. I always skip song lyrics. But that's just me.

Hold off until I get a chance to experiment with adding evaporated milk to the leche de tigre. I know it sounds horrible, at least it does to me, but I have been interviewing experts relentlessly lately and many swear that it needs to be included to achieve the perfect balance.

I sometimes go to the Maine Street Fish Market in DC which has good deal of variety of whole fish and seafood, even if its not Panamanian guys with their coolers or whatever.

That's the only place I know of in the DC area where you might have a reasonable chance of getting something good. Baltimore is slightly better but only because there are more markets scattered here and there. I wonder if the Asian markets in the Seven Corners area are worth a damn for fish. They weren't there when I was in the DC area.

Re: the asian markets in the area, they are good and bad.  You can usually get whole fish so you can at least tell the genus/species, alleviating the misclassification sham at a lot of markets/stores.  Flip side is that lots of times, they are a bit green around the gills.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.
