Thanks Mr. Happy, nice job. A lot of that story is scarily familiar, though I saw the reverse a couple of times -- nice punk girls turning into preppy bitches.

Wow. That was very nice.

I think we need to explore this side of you in more depth, Happy.

And I think I detect a new and emergent literary genre.

Call it Preview Noir.

Yes.

Coming from you, that's a real compliment. Thanks! You set the bar very high when it comes to previews.

As someone with many skeletons in his closet he doesn't wish to revisit, I admire your willingness (and Ron's and Dark Star's) to share some darker bits of your past.

All I can say is that I never made Eagle Scout, but hanging out with you guys I feel more and more like one.  Gee whiz, did you guys never pine for an unobtainable girl?

Sure. Is that what you want to read about?

What do you think motivated all the drinking, drugs, and banging available girls?

Just generally and off of the top of my head, so I am sure I am ultimately getting it wrong ...

Brand --> Enjoyed all the 'pleasures of the flesh', etc., that came with it, like any normal red-blooded guy ... but was very observant of what was going on around him (and in him) the whole time. Ultimately, he was in it for the experience. He had no idea he'd be writing about this shit later on.

D. Star --> Tried to come off as crass and take-it-or-leave-it, but was really a closet romantic; with an admitted penchant for excessive-ness when it came to alcohol and drugs. He had no idea he'd be writing about this shit later on, or he would have paid more attention.

Happy --> Sex and drugs and rock and roll, baby ... a true decadent, and fucking proud of it, too. He had no idea about later on.

Harrell is now pitching sunday instead of Bud Norris. I'll update how the Pirate hitters fare against Harrell shortly.

Jones and McCutchen have home runs off of Harrell. On the whole, the Pirates hit Harrell fairly well. Harrell is 1-0 5.91 against Pittsburgh.

Which is because porter didnt want bud hitting and running.  Why is that?
