Huge twin killing to save Bedard after the triple-single combination plated a run.

Sparks is making excuses for Bedard, giving him credit for "only" allowing one run after walking the bases loaded with none out. It's still 2-0 after two frames. Bedard has thrown about 50 pitches in the first two innings. There already is action in the bully.

Two bombs off of Bedard. 4-0 now. Bottom 3

4-4 thru 4.

I just don't see how you can keep him. Hell, give Jason Lane a shot.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

It's nice that espn is providing an extended live "look-in." the Astros are really starting to garner national attention.

Isn't he playing for the Skeeters?  Why would he give up a professional baseball career?

When your two veteran starters can't ever give you six frames, the long relief staff will get as much work as if there was a tandem rotation going at the big league club level.
