I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Very nice.

Come, let me sing into your ear
Those dancing days are gone
All that silk and satin gear
Crouch upon a stone
Wrapping that foul body up
In as foul a rag
Y todo lo que sube baja
pregúntale a Pedro Navaja

Very well done, Mr. Yeats.

And maybe that "rough beast" is named Foltynowicz or Tropeano or even Lyles?  Who knows?

Bravo.

Last year Grantland ran this piece written by Tony Kornheiser in 1980 for the first issue of Inside Sports magazine.  As the song says, "That was a different time and a different place".

Good job, Ron! Bravo!

Yeah, I was researching his contract and came upon that. It's a good read and it gave me two quotes that I used. I loved reading Inside Sports, it was a really fine magazine when it started out.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

Thankeesai, Ron.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
