Nice play by Wallace at the hot corner.

As he tiptoed down the line getting himself together to make the throw I unfortunately got Tiny Dancer stuck in my head.

Maybe so, but it was a tough play that I question whether any other third sacker we've tried thus far would have made. I harbor no illusions that Wallace can consistently play down there.

If you were the GM the team would have a dozen guys on the 40-man.

You can't just wave a wand and make them big-league players. You've got to field a team with the guys who are on your roster. Our contempt should be reserved for the previous regime who brought us to this point. If they had pulled their heads out of their asses, this process could have been started earlier, and the descent needn't have been so steep or deep.

Given the pitching matchups against the Brewers, we stand a significant risk of losing three more in a row.

Given that the team's average over the last month is about .200 the opposing pitchers may not be the key element of the equation.

Given that we've spotted them two thanks i n part to being squeezed by HPU,b it may already be too rich of a lead to suroount even this early.

I'll work up something for B&Q then, sir. Here's a nugget: they led off with Love And Only Love and Powderfinger. That should provide a smidgen of insight.

I'm not even there and I hope they do Cortez The Killer.

No.

One of my friends left for a couple days in Vegas, and I suggested the he check the sports books for a prop bet on whether the Astros will score a run in extra innings this season.

Absolutely.  I see the distinct possibility for three more consecutive losses to Milwaukee, especially when you consider that the home record still is abnormally better than the road record and that, sooner or later, the club will resort to the mean at home.
