For some reason I thought that it was tonight that the curtain drew on the second act of the Horseshit Show. It was a strange feeling being disappointed to find out otherwise.

All of MLB is off today, which is new. Thank the Lord Almighty that all will be playing tomorrow.

Wow, hadn't even caught that...

LEX won 6-5 in 15 (Box). DDJ went 5-7, Jordan Scott singled in Kvasnicka in B15 for the win (Recap);

Hooks won 8-7 in 11 (Box). Wates went 3-5 with a 6 RBI and a walk-off 3-run HR (Recap).  Greg Rajan's game story (Corpus Christi Caller-Times LINK);

SS Brett Wallace and the OKC RedHawks had a 4-run B7 to win 4-3 (Box);

GCL Astros broke a 3-3 tie in B7 to win 4-3 (Box); and

ValleyCats dominated 8-1 (Box), with 2012 3rd rd pick Brady Rodgers going 6.1 IP w/ 7 SO to lower his ERA to 0.89. He has 26 SO to 4 BB in 20.1 IP (4 starts) (Rodgers stats LINK).

LAN's "series opener at Rawhide Ballpark in Visalia was postponed due to wet grounds.***An overnight irrigation problem soaked the field and it was deemed to be unplayable just before game time" (hmmmm, remind you of something...) (LINK).

Only the G-Stros came up short tonight, losing 12-1 and getting 2-hit (Box).

Entertaining Astros MiLB night to say the least...

Yeah, but if you'd had to predict the outcome before the game wouldn't you've been more likely to predict "E: Wallace 12 (fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding, fielding)"?!? Just sayin'...  And BTW, out of all the really cool shit to post about from those games you chose the Wallace error?!?  [/facepalm]

You know me, dude, walk on the sunny side of life and all that.

Since there were several other options at short and since the team already knows he can't play third I have to believe this was some kind of fucked up sendoff for him although I wouldn't have thought that AAA is really the place to be playing games like that. If not then I'm as lost as everyone else as to why he played there.

Wait, was he really playing shortstop or was that just a mistake in the box score?  If he really was, WTF?

There was a huge hole at SS and they needed someone to fill it.

Gonzalez had planes troubles and Paredes was having a baby.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

And Angel Sanchez, you know, the guy who's played fucking sixty games at short, well, apparently they needed him to play second.

I saw Paredes in the AAA all-star game on Wed.  He took 3 swings and sat down.  The announcers speculated that his 'future may be in the outfield.'  I guess Chronicle-commentor-itis is spreading.

I think his future is a trade chip.  Or if something happens to Altuve

For those that are jonesing enough to stare at box scores.  McCullers is making his first start:

So they got three innings of one hit shutout ball out of him, eh? That's probably all you can expect at this juncture since he has sat for awhile since the end of his regular high school season.
