Altuve starts things off with a single in T1. Zito's perfecto is done.  Wandy's is still going strong though, he's given SFO NOTHING to hit so far... Middle 1: HOU 0, SFO 0

T3: 1 out, bases juiced (3 straight walks by Zito), JD at the dish. HOU 1, SFO 0.

Altuve walks, Bixler walks, Lowrie walks, JD hits a grand slam.

You should have seen Cabrera. He didn't even move on the slam.

Belt knocked a 2-run jack into McCovey Cove in B4 (61st splash HR in park history).  End 5: HOU 5, SFO 2

So the guy hadn't hit a home run all season and he gets on in every game (and two into the Cove?)?

So much for that theory. Lefties hit Happ better than righties.

6-3 headed into the 9th.  Think last years team could have won the next day after being perfed the night before?

So the guy hadn't hit a home run all season and he gets on in every game (and two into the Cove?)?

Jimmy D made an astute observation about that. All leftys pitching but all on breaking balls (slow stuff). Apparently the young man stays backs well. So Jimmy D observes the following "They (the Astros) should throw him hard inside, see how quick his hands are if he's staying back so well". *BAM* no sooner said than done... Wesley Wright throws a fastball inside that any other lefty would love to hit... and this kid instead hits it straight to second base for a double play to clean up the inning. I mean that was perfect, the guy can't hit hard inside because he leans away and waits for the slow stuff to get his knocks.

Ah scouting, wish that was used a lot more nowadays!

I was there and that was my nervous self talking right then and there. The Giants crowd was amped up. Sandoval hit a 1-2 pitch for a solid single. Sanchez then crushed a ball that Downs thankfully skewered, tagging Sandoval and then doubling up Sanchez. It was almost a disaster, because Belt would have been the tying run at the plate with nobody out. However, giving credit where credit is due, the ball club bounced back after a miserable night and beat a seriously flat Giants team today, but who can blame the Giants for being flat today. I sure can't.

I know that. I was merely responding to Coach's typical love note that he has for me just about every time I voice some realism (or what I view as realism).
