Someone needs a day off?

Altuve is 6-36 in the last ten games. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a day off very soon, perhaps as early as in the upcoming series.

Seems to be hitting in some bad luck. Not lost at the plate like JD's been.

It certainly won't be tomorrow against Randy Wolf. Altuve is 3/6 with a home run against Wolf.

They're sending the Wolf?  Well, why didn't you just say so?

Didn't Altuve sit the last game of the Pirates series? Either way, I agree, he's been robbed on some bullets, hasn't seemed lost, perhaps pressing a bit or getting over-anxious a tad, but not as down-and-out as most of the lineup seems to be right now.

He sat the Sunday game IIRC.

He's chasing more out of the strike zone. It got worse when he moved to the #3 hole.

He's started to expand his strike zone a bit. He's not hit very well in May so far: .220 1 HR 3 RBI, compared to .360 1 HR 10 RBI in April. His OBP for April was .404; his OBP in May so far is .264-hardly top of the order type stats. He drew seven walks in April, compared to just two so far in May. Since Downs is swinging a hotter bat, don't be surprised if he sits a game in favor of Downs or even Gonzalez.
