I really like The King of Marwin Gardens. He is smooth and poised in the field and looks like he has a strong arm. At bat, he has good plate discipline and a nice compact swing - he makes contact.

He just fumbled a grounder. 

I enjoyed his play, mainly in that he is competant with the bat.  Frankly, based on what I had read, I was expecting more range.  He has looked a bit lumbering at short and on the basepaths, IMO.

lumbering? not the SS i saw on OD. very smooth and fluid.

The SS I've watched on television for the first six games is a real player. Someone else said that he had good plate discipline, and he did it from both sides of the plate. He faced some tough pitching and got into some tough early counts, but he methodically worked his way out of it. As I said in the GZ last night, I'm not convinced that Lowrie will be an upgrade. Gonzalez can play.

I agree with the comments on OD. He looked like a big guy, but he was so smooth he made it look easy, maybe like he was lumbering. When you put him in the middle of the field with a spark like Altuve, it makes a huge contrast.
