Interesting read.

I didn't know this factoid, "The more mascots the better—just ask the Tri-City ValleyCats, they've got six."
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I like the idea of moving Frisco up to AAA -- seems like that would give the Astros another shot at Round Rock.

Thanks for the link.  Manuel's idea on the Dominican Republic ball makes a lot of sense.  Lingo's idea on relegation seems non-sensical given the reason MiLB teams exist.

Relegation would be cool if the minor league teams weren't affiliated with the majors.

Would Round Rock even want the Astros back?  From their point of view they now have a match made in heaven.

It's stupid the way the article describes it though ... the teams moving up and down would need to pick up a new MLB affiliate, meaning that the players/organizations on the teams being "punished" for losing simply move to the team that won and ascended the ladder.  It completely undermines what little logic there was in the idea in the first place.
