I can understand managing a team in the playoff chase wanting to get their veteran bench players some time while resting some starters.

I like Michaels, bat this just isn't the situation the Astros are in right now.

I think they said metacarpal (actually, I think they said metatarsal, but that's a foot bone), which is one of the long bones in the palm of the hand. I suspect that's harder to heal than just a broken finger.
