Nice job. He looks like he has some idea of what he's doing out there. He has a nice change.

Is this game not on TV in Austin?

(Not to imply that I'm not enjoying the nice start to my Bears' game!)

The game isn't on TV in Houston or San Antonio as far as I can tell.  Fox Sports is playing fucking high school football.  I could almost forgive them for playing Rangers/BoSox but this is fucking ridiculous.

I guess I'll rant about it on a message board, that always makes me feel better!

Harrell showed a pretty good changeup to the left-handed hitting Morgan. Astros down in order in bottom 1.

Special teams fail.  I was really hoping to have the Astros game on as a backup, knowing that Baylor will eventually start being Baylor.

I guess this is what we should expect for Fridays in September now, Astros coverage replaced by high school BS?

This is one of my favorite things on the internet:

People who got liquored up and got a tattoo of some Chinese characters that were supposed to mean Wild Child or Peace Forever send pictures of their tattoo to a guy who speaks Chinese who tells them, Uh, dude, that means Beef and Broccoli.

Say, I got an idea. Before you get a tattoo in a foreign language why not verify exactly what it means?

Knowing very little Chinese from taking some college Chinese classes, even I have spotted some bad translation jobs on Chinese characters.  I remember one guy had the word "table" tattooed on his neck.

Why would you leave Wright in to face a right hander and then pull him right after he gets that batter out?

Harrell out after 1/3. WW walks Fielder in a great AB by Fielder, but gets Mcghee on a 3-0 to F8. Lopez on to pitch. God help us all. His inherited runners to runners scored numbers suck.

Lopez strikes out Bettancourt. 2-0 Bottom 6 It's hard to believe that there have only been two runs scored tonight, given Dana Demuth's consistent hitter's strike zone.

I think the 3rd base ump gave Shuck that call because of Demuths terrible strike zone in Shuck's at bat.

Nope. He didn't swing. Also, with the black bat, as the Brewer announcers pointed out, it is harder for the base umpires to see.

Youre going to let this happen, aren't you Bears

As a die hard Baylor fan and alum I can tell you, without a doubt, they are going to let it happen.

Sudden slapdickery by the Bears with some personal foul calls, and we've got a 1-possession ball game.

Yes I did. And when I hit the corner I wanted the call. And he has called some corner strikes tonight.

So did I. Demuth has been very consistent tonight. There's no one who wanted the corner call more than me, especially given my two seam fastball/forkball repertoire. However, if the umpire was consistent, I was basically happy.
