I love watching Wandy pitch. He's come a long long way since 2005. I hope if they do trade him they pilfer the shit out of somebody's dazzling hoard of prospects, because I will miss him as an Astro.

If they trade him, they need to get quite a bit of quality in return.  A much better than Oswalt haul.  He is signed for two more years IIRC, relatively cheap, pretty durable, and has been pretty damn solid for a few years (not to mention the last 12-month ERA stat).

It seems like most people around baseball, even a lot of Astros fans, act like he is just a relatively common, mid-rotation arm.  That's my impression at least.  If that is all the value the Astros will get in return, then I hope they keep him.

He was fun to watch last night. A little wild in the first 3 innings, but eventually settled down. Huge boost for the Astros that even without his best stuff to start out, he didn't allow any runs.  I think that's at least part of what separates him from being a common, mid-rotation arm.
