Speaking of the Angels, they are paying Tori Hunter and Vernon Wells a combined 41 million this year.  Torii is hitting .228, Vernon .192.  Ouch.  Vernon is 32, and still has this left on his contract.  12:$21M, 13:$21M, 14:$21M,    Ugh.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

If the Astros can get him for chump change, put him in the system and see what happens.  Can't be much worse than the pitching they currently have.

Yeah, although I have a strange feeling the Cards would be very interested in him...seems like a Drinkin' Dave special if there ever was one!

I'd love to see Kazmir in an Astros uniform.* **

* If for no other reason than he's likely the most famous graduate of my high school.
** Pay no attention to the fact that I was excited to see Jason Jennings as an Astro for similar "fellow alum" reasons.

I bet Brocail could beat some sense into him.
Don't think twice, it's alright.

You know, if Bagwell were to come back as hitting coach, and he and Brocail stood up on the top step of the dugout...

I'm just sayin', there might be some players that hesitate a little before coming back in from the field.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

Remember, the Angels voluntarily traded for Wells and assumed the entire contract.  That. Actually. Happened.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
