Btw ... "Friday is Sample Downtown Day at Petco. Apparently you can go and taste food and drinks from local eateries before the game."

That would be worth the price of admission right there. I haven't been to San Diego in a long time, but there are some awesome restaurants in the Gaslight District around Petco.
