Truth hurts. Maybe not as much as jumping on a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

No truth to the rumor that Nielsen turned to his doctor and said "What is it?" when he was told he needed to go to the Hospital.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember Forbidden Planet as being a pretty good movie.

A great movie that heavily influenced sci fi movies and tv for a decade.  Apparently being remade by J. Michael Straczynski.
Goes to show what a breadth of acting talent Nielson had, doesn't it?

Seems he always did the so-called "heavy" roles until Airplane came along with the role of the doctor.  "I had the lasagna."
I guess the Police Squad stuff on tv had him changing directions for good.

My oldest got a kick out of Airplane on tv last night. Farewell, great Canadian.  If you must know a family secret, his grandfather was Dutch.
