Chrome/IE help
« on: September 08, 2010, 09:10:16 pm »
For you Google Chrome or IE folks out there, was trying to listen to the ValleyCats game tonight but couldn't.  LINK: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/multimedia/audio.jsp?sid=t577&home=t511&away=t577

I get a popup type box in both Chrome and IE, but nothing in it but a small black rectangle (no sound, no audio controllers, etc., just a small black rectangle).  I presume it has something to do with my settings.  Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix it before game 3 tomorrow?  Thanks!

And while I'm at it, used to be able to click on the "schedules and scores" section on the Astros affiliates page on Chrome and get the box scores to open in another tab, but cannot click the links anymore.  Any thoughts?
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Two words: Safari.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

If two different browsers are doing it, my guess is that it's just a busted page.  I did see that the black bar is a Flash app, though, so maybe your Flash player is outdated?

I'm on Chrome and it works for me.

How come on Firefox on my Macbookpro I can only get half of the NY Times front page to load?

Thanks Waldo.  I know from others that the link is fine (although it won't work unless there is a game going).  I'm on Flash 10 and the updates are current.  Perhaps I need to reinstall it.

ETA: It's working today, so who knows...

Sometimes you need to run the browser "as an Administrator" for such pop-up pages.  It's part of your operating system and not the browser per se.  Added protection if you will.  Are you on Windows 7?
