There is fucking no one in the ballpark tonight. Reyes infield 1B to SS to 2B on PB; Martinez 1B to RF on 3-2 pitch RBI out 2-6 on a cannon throw from Castro; Wright K; Beltran BB on four pitches; Davis BB on second 3-2 pitch; Arnsberg out to the hill; Francoeur Ks. Figueroa threw over 30 pitches this inning.

So which was worse there: the left fielder's effort on Lee's liner, or Lee's "rounding" of 1st base?

Mets PBP guys are talking about whether or not Biggio deserves to be in the HoF and I'm about to come off my couch thinking Gary is about to make a case for Bigg being the first 3000 hit man to not make it when...........he pretty clearly goes through a list of 2B worse than him, ticking each one of and saying "if <this guy> is in?  Biggio is in.   if <this guy> is in?   Biggio is in."   Keith agreed with him.

Also, I find it interesting after just reading Limey's Series Preview that every one of you people in Houston knows more Mets fans than I do.

Ugh. DoRay are describing the arterioral dye test Figueroa had earlier for the migraines - dye injection into the thigh to see the circulation in the brain. I'm going to give up my dinner now.

They ought to do that with Pence just to see if blood actually makes it to his brain.

Ok, it WAS on the fly, but I was thinking onyx chess set because those are the cheap sets you get across the border in Mexico, connoting not only the Texas connection but the lesser value of his home run in comparison to Thomson's. Feel free to bring your own to the table.

I think Milo meant 'Chinese' as in cheap, but either got it wrong due to age or because he thought better of where the description was going.

I don't understand a lot of what Milo says. I  understand the words but they have nothing to do with an image.

Oh my goodness.   This entire thread, I had assumed Milo was referring to "chinese checkers" the sexual position, which made perfect sense, but he was in fact talking about the child's game, which makes no sense.

Reyes didn't really have a chance to test him. But he looks slow to the plate out of the stretch.

Lopez on to try for his first big league save. Thole infield hit off of Lopez, who should have had it; Pagan P6; Carter PH for Santana 1-3 on a bang bang play at 1B; Reyes F7. 4-3 Astros win! Melancon gets a vulture win. Lopez the save.

Pence is, after all, the rich man's Francouer (or the starving Sudanese peasant's Vlad Guerrero)...

Ugh. DoRay are describing the arterioral dye test Figueroa had earlier for the migraines - dye injection into the thigh to see the circulation in the brain. I'm going to give up my dinner now.

Didn't hear this conversation, but it sounds like what was done after my stroke.  Ran a tube up an artery in my thigh to near my shoulder, and then shot dye into my brain.  It was hot and thick and hurt like hell.  And they kept telling me not to blink or move or breathe or it could kill me.  One of the scariest things I ever had to go through.

Yep, no lingering problems at all, except that if I try to lecture and write on the board at the same time, I will occasionally write the word I was trying to say, and say the word I was trying to write. (but that is normal for some people anyway)

The only cause for my stroke was birth control pills. I have no other risk factors or health problems associated with stroke.
