I'm going to go ahead and give Pence credit for making the decision based on his seeing that the 2B was making the play rather than the RF. I'm going to assume that he wouldn't have gone if the RF made the catch. At this point, I'm looking for little things.

Hence the mystery to me.  He had the right approach on Wednesday (go up there and take a hack) and tonight he looked tentative with half swings.  Almost like he can't see the ball at night or something.
