Love listening to Bags.

Crap, forgot Bagwell was in the booth today.  Things are already looking up!

Was it hit as far as it appears on Gameday?  (No video for me here yet)
From the look on the Gameday graphic, it was really hammered.

Through six, both pitchers had one-hitters but the Astros trail 2-0.

After Smoak's HR, they interviewed some lady who had thrown the HR ball back on the field.  She said that because it wasn't an Astros home run, she didn't want it.  This really pisses me off--this is a freakin' Cub tradition and I really wish that Astros fans would stop doing it.

It also reminded me about something I saw in Colorado. There were signs posted in Coors Field stating that any fan who threw a home run ball back on the field would be subject to immediate ejection from the park.  I cheered silently.

Bottom of 7th, still 2-0 Texas.

Bourn just doubled to right field.

Keppinger out.

Berkman grounds out weakly to 2b on the first pitch.  Bourn to 3b.

I'm with you, Jane. Throwing the ball back on the field is juvenile bullshit. When I was a kid I'd have killed for a home run ball, regardless of who hit it. Now, I'd just be really happy to get one.

Fuck the Cubs, and fuck all those small-minded jackasses who think that shit is appropriate.

Top of 8th, Brandon Lyon on the mound.

Young flies out to Pence.
Kinsler flies to RF, Pence makes a nice sliding catch.
Hamilton drops one in over Manzella in short left field.
David Murphy walks.
Smoak rips one to RF, Pence falls fielding the ball.  Hamilton scores.
Vlad up, pinch hitting for the catcher.  He hits it up the middle, Murphy scores.  4-1 Texas.  I'm apparently bad luck, so I'm done.

Two runs with two out. A .211 hitter buries you in the series. Shitfuck.

Really embarrassing to have a sellout because it's full of Ranger fans. You could hear the "Let's go, Rangers" chant heartily in the background on the radio. What, are all those people who moved to Houston because they couldn't get work in Big D?
