Astros @ Brewers 5/27

2-0 Astros in the bottom of the first, although I can't seem to get MLB.TV to show the game to me. Anyone else having MLB.TV issues?

My issues is that I'm at work and can't watch it.

BOT 4:

McGehee: Single past Manzella. McGehee to 1st.

Hart: (What the hell? Is that chick PA announcer speaking Japanese?!?) 2-2 hit to Manzella. Tommy turns the DP by tagging 2nd and throwing to Twinkie. 2 outs.

Kottaras (Cataracts?): Doubles down the 3B line.

Escobar: 3-2 walk.

Bush: Strikes out lookin'.

END 4: 2-1 Astros.

Dave: talking about the weather, the sunshine, how it's different in the north than in the south blah blah blah... "Is that the northern sun, JD?"

JD: "Uh, DAVE, as far as I know there's only ONE sun. I'm not a big science guy, but at least in our solar system, I think there's just one."

TOP 5:

Bourn: 3-2 walk.

Kepp: 1st pitch ball, Bourn takes off for 2nd and nabs the bag. Bouncer to McGehee at 3B, throw to 1st, out #1. JD wonders if Bourn will try to steal 3rd with 1 out.

Pence: 0-1 fly to Gomez at the warning track. Out #2. Bourn advances to 3rd.

Berkman: 3-2 walk. Runners on the corners. 1000th walk of Lance's career, 17th switch hitter all-time to do so. JD and Raymond having a little fun with that. Dave: "They're not gonna stop the game?"

Coach Blum: Flyout to right center.

MID 5: 2-1 Astros.
And, by the way, f*** off. --Mr. Happy, with a tip of the cap to JimR

TOP 6:

Estrada in to hurl for the Brew Crew.

Sullivan: 3-2 walk.

Manzella: 1-1 bunt to 3B, throw to 1st for the out. Sullivan to 2nd. Out #1.

Cash: (Escobar keeps staring Sullivan back to 2nd) 3-2 walk. Runners on 1 and 2.

Myers: Showing bunt. It's a pop-up bunt straight to Kotteras, who runs right into the charging rhino Prince as he catches it and falls on his ass. Out #2.

JD to Raymond: "That's what I was telling your partner last night- nobody's ever said, 'Red Rover, Red Rover, let Prince come over.' Those words have never been uttered on the playground."

Bourn: Infield grounder to Weeks, who then makes a horrible throw over His Hindness' glove. Sullivan scores, Cash moves to 3rd, Bourn to 2nd as Kotteras trots after the ball. 3-2 Astros.

JD comments that he was talking to a scout the other day who told JD that, "...not to mince words, but he's a BAD second baseman!."

Kepp: 3-2 popup waaaay past 3rd, Escobar grabs it for the 3rd out.

MID 6: Astros up 3-2.

TOP 7:

Braddock in for the Brewers. Brownie back in for Raymond. Poor Brownie sounds only slightly less terrible than he did.

Pence: singles into RF.

Berkman: Takes it to 2-2 and Pence easily takes 2nd with no play. 3-2 popup to Weeks/2B. Out #1.

JD wishes Jeff Bagwell and Frank Thomas happy 42nd birthdays.

Coach Blum: Looks at the 1st pitch, Kottaras tosses to 3rd but it's too late... Pence took it. Blum softly lines to short for the out, throw to 3rd not in time to get Pence. Out #2.

Michaels (pinch hitting): Strikes out swinging.

MID 7: Astros ahead, 3-2.

PBP will be interrupted sometime soon, as I have to leave in 20 to pick up YoungerSon.

Yes, although I'm pretty sure you could use Prince, Pence, and Lee interchangably here.  The Brewers are at least smart enough to put their bowling ball nearer to at least one player wearing full body protective gear.

Pitcher took a shot off the arm from a Cash hit back at him.  Quick visit to the mound, no probs, pitcher staying in.

Hart: line drive single to CF. 2 outs, runner on 1B.

Kottarrras: flair to shallow left, Manzella out to make the play. 3 outs.

T9: 1 out, runner on 2B

Weeks: b, ss (nasty 95 MPH 'divebomber' per JD), b (just inside), foul, ball way up and off Cash's glove, runner advances to 3B, infield coming in. 3-2 pitch well inside for ball 4.  Walk. 1 out, runners at the corners.

Oh I do , but the Mets announcers would start homerun calls on balls caught by infielders (and if the other team hit a homerun you'd have to wait and read about it in the paper the next day).

Yesterdays call made it to the warning track but the guy was screaming like a little girl the entire time.
