90's Retro
« on: May 27, 2010, 10:01:00 am »
I was just discussing with a friend how terrifying it is that the next retro craze will have to be the mid 90s.

What's the rule on how long it takes for retro crazes?  It seems to me people were doing the 70s thing starting with, what, Dazed and Confused?

There will undoubtedly be an Oliver Stone / Nirvana film.

The 90's shouldn't legally be allowed to be considered "retro" until well after I turn 40. At the very minimum.

Not *just* being a douche, but also keeping your friends informed of your douchebaggery through Web 2.0 and social networking!

See, I was under the impression that the 00's were the worst/dumbest decade in American history just because I was old now and out of touch with the kids; so I missed shit like fashion and music and other pop culture that makes a decade what it was culturally.   But no, it turns out I was on top of all of that shit and it was, in fact, the most useless decade culturally; ever.

And we all know whose fault this was, the guy who set the tone for the whole decade.  That's right.  You guessed it.
