The Keppinger "hot start"

vs LHP: 22 PA, .471/.591/.765
vs RHP: 43 PA, .205/.262/.231

It seems we fall for this every time the guy gets to face a series of LHP.  Myself included.

I'm all in favor of releasing Kaz in favor of a player that can produce.  What I'd like to see is a player that can hold his own against RHP.  I think his name may be Geoff Blum.

I agree. Kaz's AB's are a waste of time.

I'll sign that petition.

I'll sign that petition.

I think you're more likely to have to sign a ($5M) check to make it happen.

Just get Limey to talk loudly about it when he is in the Drayton seats this year..or slightly behind before game started..moving closer as game progressed seats.

There's one or two players ahead of Kaz on my hit list.  At least Kaz can catch a fucking ball.

Agreed, with respect to the 100 or so games he's healthy enough to play.  It would be nice if Kaz could hit like he did in 2007-08.

It's a sunk cost.  Kaz gets paid regardless.

I understand that, but it doesn't mean that Drayton's going to dump him just for the opportunity to pay somebody else occupy the 24th spot on the roster. As long as Kaz can still go out there and play periodically, Drayton's going to keep him and at least get *something* for his $5M. Unless somebody is willing to pick up Kaz's salary, which I doubt.

The Knicks might. Have Morrey give them a call.
