Flying to Minn via Houston from Knoxville tomorrow. Have a 3 hour layover in Bush. Any suggested places to pass the time or get some work done.
Can't someone pick him up and take him somewhere close? I did that once at DFW. He would just need to go through security again.
There are some venues near the airport where a businessman flying solo can find some respite. Allegedly.
The title of the thread is "Bush Airport Hangouts," not "Hangouts near the Airport where one can get some Bush."
I'm guessing they're mostly Brazilian.
Am I surprised you know about those establishments? No.I thought a SnSer would be willing to meet up with Duman. Has anyone met him in person? For all we know he could be Ray Kerby.
If you can get into one of the lounges, great! Otherwise, you're stuck with the gate clusterfucks or the concession clusterfucks. No peace for the wicked...
The lounges are only marginally better. I was in the lounge in Houston a while back and was preparing a light breakfast. I took my beverage to the table I'd secured and returned to the bagel station as I assumed that I'd allowed enough time for my bagel to have been spit out of the toaster. It had been but I couldn't get to it because there was a well dressed, middle aged fellow in the frequent flyers lounge attempting without measurable success to shove a whole bagel into the toaster. I watched him with utter fascination for a few moments until he located a butter knife and started attacking the bagel with it at which point I shouldered him out of the way for a moment, got my pair of nicely toasted bagel halves and got the hell out of there.I was in the lounge in LAX recently and noticed a small sign stuck on top of the toaster: PLEASE SPLIT BAGEL IN HALF. This is obviously not an isolated issue.
