Cards-Mets

Holy shit: Tremblin' Trever Miller is still in the league. He just struck out some Met in the top of the 12th in the Cards-Mets game.

0-0 in the 15th.  Three of the steM's five starting pitchers have appeared in this game.

Fun fact:  The Astros beat the Mets in the longest 1-0 game ever.  Twenty-four innings in 1968.

Cardinals have had the bases loaded in the 10, 12 and 14th innings.

The Mets just brought in the youngest player in the major leagues to pitch the 15th.

Card just shit the bed in the bottom of the 14th: they had 1st and 3rd with no outs, and bases loaded with 1 out, and they still couldn't score. I'm glad I'm not a Cards fan.

The first no-no in Rockies history and the entire country misses it because Fox won't cut away to it and ESPN probably can't b/c of Fox.

The best part is that Fox's Saturday evening schedule has been completely trashed. We're now 3+ hours after when they might have reasonably expected the game to end.

Fucking CB Bucknor. It's the bottom of the 20th and he's squeezing Pelfrey? That second-to-last pitch to Lopez was right on the corner.

Well, it was Albert and McCarver, but no.   Funny that you made this comment because we had the game on a muted TV while the NBA Playoffs were on (with audio) until the 16th inning, when we moved it over and I said "oh wait, this is on BIG Fox?   Fuck, I thought it would be the normal steM yayhoos.   The whole nation had to listen to McCarver for 7 hours??"

Nope. But at least one of his moves got questioned last night by the "great" Joe Morgan--why wasn't the pitcher bunting with a runner on 2B with one out. Mind you, the pitcher in question is a lifetime .242 hitter who had a 3-1 count at the time. I reluctantly agreed with LaRussa there, but it had more to do with disagreeing with Morgan. Morgan is a dickhead.
