Rainbow Ruts?
« on: August 07, 2009, 09:33:40 am »
Been noticing some other games with teams rolling out the throw back uni's lately.  Any word on the Astros dawning the rainbows' soon?  The retro t-shirt give away tonight would work if the promotions dept has their thinking cap on.

If they do, I'll watch the game in honor waering my rainbow gut and orange star hat sitting high atop my massive Sambito fro.

That's an unfortunate image.

As a child, I used to have a 4" fro in the 70's.  Mom used to say it was all the rage and very stylish as she would pick it out to gain that extra 1/2" of fluffy goodness.  I would turn my head to the right or left to look at something interesting and my hair would follow along a second later.  I looked like a dandilion.  Little old ladies would cross large parking lots to stick their fingers in my coif and comment, "I spend an hour each Saturday morning at the salon so that my hair looks just like that".   Comments like these made me the "special" person I was all through high school.  I demanded that my mother pay for psychological treatment well into my 20's.  Thanks for picking that scab and making it bleed again...

Was there a John 3:16 shirt involved, as well?

You may not believe it to look at my hair now, but in high school, I had a beautiful main of thick, naturally wavy hair.  Girls used to run their fingers through it and say they'd kill to have my hair.  Not so much anymore.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.
